Since my computer was drowned in diet coke (me and my computer have more in common than I thought!), I've been using my old computer, my first. A simple Dell Inspiron 6000. A laptop I was so excited to get, that I now loathe. Well, "loathe" may be a strong word, but it's not my Macbook Pro.
Anyway, I was browsing through my old desktops...oh my. My style has certainly changed! Back in 2005-2006 I wanted desktops from Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and the Fast and the Furious. Now I want graphically intense backgrounds, or shabby chic desktops. The fonts I chose were childish and lacked basic form. I have certainly evolved.
Maybe it's the years of graphics classes that has changed me, but I'm thinking it is just age. What a difference four or five years can make. Gosh am I REALLY that old? I'm 23, but sometimes I fear I act older. And sometimes I act much more immature. It's a complicated life sometimes. But then again, who's life isn't?

New Layout...
I'm here to share MINI ALBUMS! I remember making my first mini, and I was so scared to do it! Now I have made over 25...Explosion boxes, envelope minis, file folder minis, cd case minis, toilet paper roll minis, chipboard minis, chunky cardboard minis, altered tin minis...I'm obsessed! Here's one that got a great response from my pals.
That one was for my dear friend Joakima.
And here's one for my friend Amy, via pictures :)
I got that chipboard bra album from serendiptyscrapbooks.com. I ordered another one and am waiting to decorate it. I need some more reptile-skin textured paper from Hobby Lobby. The Paper Studio produces it, and at $2 a sheet it's not cheap, but I got my money's worth out of it. You'd be amazed at how far you'll go to salvage any scrap from a $2 sheet of paper!

Paper Flower Tutorial
Long time no see guys! I've been busy creating mini albums for a swap on scrapbook.com. You can see videos of some of my albums at www.youtube.com/theElegantCriminal.
This post is to show you how to make a paper flower (begonia). It is easiest if you have Sure Cuts A Lot for your Cricut, but I have provided a JPEG that you can print and cut by hand. It will be time consuming but the result is very cute. These look great on cards, and if you're just making one it is well worth your time!
Here's what they look like:
First, I made a video:
Once you watch the video you'll need this template:

Right click on the image and save it to your computer to use it.
If you're not into making flowers, you can buy them from me at www.etsy.com/naiveglow.

Moving, Day 4
I'm almost done setting up my scrap studio...I am so excited to use it! I'm still looking for some boxes of ribbon and a few other things, but I have my paper trimmer, paper, adhesive, Cuttlebug, and Cricut. And my stamps and stamp pads, of course :) This move has been interesting. I was out of town for my family's last move, but apparently this one was worse. Mainly since my dad was so sick the whole day. But he's doing much better now, thankfully.
Still waiting to get my Jeep fixed up...the starter has been replaced but the fuel line and transfer case need servicing. We're much closer to our mechanic now so hopefully we'll get to that soon.
Not much else to say, I'm just checking in. Hoping to find a new layout soon!
I'll post pics of my studio once it's complete!
